OCD ENSURES PROBE ON NDRRMC FACEBOOK HACKING
The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) has ensured that measures are underway to prevent a repeat of the hacking of the official Facebook page of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
On its Facebook post Tuesday night, October 11, the OCD confirmed that the NDRRMC's official Facebook page has been hacked earlier in the day, at "around 3 pm".
It added that necessary arrangements are in place to retrieve the account and investigate the matter.
The OCD assures that it upholds data privacy and security, alongside the welfare of the members of the NDRRMC.
The agency, however, did not give exact circumstances and other details regarding the incident.
The OCD then sent its apologies for the inconvenience or confusion this incident might have brought to the public and stakeholders, and assured that measures are in place to prevent the incident from happening again.
