The Nets wrap their preseason up with a great win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The defense was phenomenal from start to finish and you can tell this team is really locked in on both ends.
The effort is apparent and it’s something to really be excited about as a fan. Kyrie Irving was automatic on offense and brought the effort defensively. He’ll have an MVP caliber season, same with KD - best player in the world. Just automatic and such an important player for us defensively. 7/11 will show why they’re the best duo in the league this season. Ben Simmons had limited minutes due to fouling out early, but you can really see his impact defensively.
The way the Nets are able to switch between him, Royce, KD, and Claxton is special. I’m really expecting this team to have a top spot in this years defensive rankings.
The Nets are super deep as well and it’s showing. Great game from Royce, Clax, Cam, Yuta, and Day’Ron - who had a HUGE night with a double-double. Our role players are super important to this team, and they will only get stronger once Joe, Seth, and TJ are all on the floor.
