The Filipino people are not disappointed in you. The frustration and disappointment they feel are directed towards the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas - SBP federation and their appointed head coach. Please understand that the media may be gaslighting you by suggesting otherwise, but know that the Filipino people stand behind you, 101% supported, even if the media and the SBP may have portrayed a different narrative.
The disappointment that the Filipino feel is a result of the failure of the SBP federation to provide you with a high-caliber coach and their focus on monetary gains in hosting the FIBA world cup rather than your success. We apologize on behalf of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas - SBP and their appointed head coach for putting you in an embarrassing situation that you do not deserve.
Again, please understand that the frustration expressed by the Filipino people is not directed at you, its never been! but at those responsible for the decisions that have affected your performance. The Filipino people want to assure you that they are fully aware of the gaslighting tactics employed by some media outlets, the head coach, and the SBP federation.
