Marilao, Bulacan Mayor Ricky Silvestre died on Sunday when his SUV rammed an electric post while cruising along Prince Balagtas Avenue inside the Clark Freeport Zone, according to a report of the Public Safety Division Traffic Management Section of the state-run Clark Development Corporation. He was 65.
The driver reportedly “lost control” of the vehicle and rammed the lamp pole which bent and fell upon impact. Silvestre was given first aid by CDC Paramedics and transported to Medical City Clark but was pronounced dead.
Mayor Silvestre was currently serving his second term as mayor of Marilao City.
