Manila Zoo's resident elephant, Vishwa Ma'ali, known as Ma'ali, has unfortunately passed away on Tuesday, as confirmed by the Manila Public Information Office. Ma'ali had been the sole elephant in the Philippines for over 40 years, and her estimated age at the time of her demise was between 48 and 49 years.
Presently, a necropsy is being conducted on Ma'ali to ascertain the cause of her death. The findings will be shared with the public during a press conference
